Jennifer Ghartey was born amongst the white sandy beaches of Jamaica and permanently relocated to New York City when she was a child, which helped her to cultivate a style that mirrors the luxe metropolitan and the lush Carribean. Her creative, meticulous eye for detail and organizing adaptability encouraged her to plan her own wedding, realizing that her gift in event coordinating had the potential to change lives!
With an extensive background in sales marketing with Fortune 500 companies like Coca-Cola and Michelin, Jennifer married her corporate and logistical prowess with diverse aesthetics to launch her company, Jennifer Rose Events & Weddings. Jennifer brings nearly 8 years of event planning experience to her clients and sharpens her craft by investing in her education, as she participated in the WeddingWire and The Knot’s annual workshops and more. Jennifer tapped into her event coordinating genius after attending the Wedding Merchants Business Academy (MBA) at the Las Vegas Convention Center, where she networked with planners, vendors, and defined her space in the industry. She has distinguished herself by obtaining floral arrangement certificates from local College, which taught her how to customize bouquets and other decors. Jennifer’s secret weapon is remaining calm under mountains of stress while assuring that the bride’s wedding is a magical affair.
Jennifer’s dedication to entrepreneurship and women empowerment earned her the 2020 Women In Business International Award. She currently lives in Maryland with her husband and her children. When Jennifer isn’t planning star-studded events, you may catch her globe-trotting around UK, Mexico, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica enjoying her favorite cuisine, jerk chicken, rice and peas, and plantains!

Hi, my name is Jasmine Ghartey, I'm 22 years old and I attend Towson University. I am currently working towards my Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in legal studies. On top of that I am in the process of receiving my real estate license. In my free time I love to cook or watch true crime documentaries. I believe my strongest attribute is my determination and optimism. I intend to achieve all that life has to offer by working hard and having fun.
Meet the Team
I'm the Lead Planner and Designer of Jennifer Rose Events & Weddings. I grew up in New York after migrating from the beautiful island of Jamaica at the age of 9 years old. I graduated from Lehman College in New York with a B.S. in Computer and Management. I currently live in Owings Mills, MD with my husband and our 2 two children, Jasmine and George.
While planning my own wedding in 1999, I fell in love with the wedding industry, and it took me many years later to pursue my dream as a wedding planner. With a natural instinct for creating beautiful stories and a background in sales and marketing helped me in building my business and putting a mark on the wedding industry. I am super organized and follow up is impeccable. I am a natural at building solid relationships with clients and making them happy and bringing their vision to life.
We are known as the traveling family because my daughter turned 1 years old on vacation in London, England. Our favorite place to go is the island, especially Jamaica. My dream trip is to travel to Italy, hopefully soon.
I am 21 years old and I attend Johnson & Wales University in their master’s program for Event and Leadership. I love cooking, dancing and planning events. One thing special about me is my personality, I love being positive and uplifting other people, being negative is temporary but happiness is forever. I may be American, but I love different types of foreign foods, culture and open to all possibilities the world has to offer.
